Professional air conditioner cleaning in Albir

Professional air conditioner cleaning in Albir for flats, apartments and homes by the sea, between Benidorm and Altea. We remove odours, mould and fouling inside split and ducted systems—from preventive maintenance to deep cleaning with fan wheel removal.

Professional air conditioner cleaning on the Costa Blanca

We clean split indoor units and ducted systems in flats, houses and apartments on the Costa Blanca. Depending on the package, we clean filters, evaporator, blower wheel, tray and drain; remove built-up dirt, biofilm and odour sources. When needed, the blower is cleaned in place or removed for a separate deep clean and disinfection.

We do not repair, install or recharge air conditioners. Our speciality is professional cleaning of the internal parts.

Check your AC blower wheel in 30 seconds

Clean filters do not mean the inside of the unit is clean. Visible dirt often builds up deeper — on the blower wheel.

  1. Air conditioner remote: switch off before inspection

    Switch the air conditioner off

The unit must be off before you look inside.

  2. Opening the lower louvres of the air conditioner

    Lift the lower air louvres

You do not need to open the top filter cover. Look inside through the lower air outlet.

  3. Lighting the blower wheel with a phone flashlight

    Shine your phone torch inside

Behind the louvres is a long cylindrical blower. Look at its blades.

What to look for?

If the blades are clearly visible and keep their original light colour, there may be no strong visible dirt. If you see grey or dark deposit, dust or other dirt between blades and on their edges — the blower should be cleaned.

Clean filters ≠ a clean air conditioner

Filters catch some coarse dust, but they do not clean the blower, evaporator, tray or drain. So regular filter rinsing does not guarantee clean internal parts.

Look deeper — that is usually where what you cannot see from outside is.

What is hidden inside your air conditioner

Room air passes through the indoor unit again and again. Dust, organic dirt and biofilm gradually build up on the evaporator, blower wheel and tray. From the outside the unit can still look perfectly clean.

Real examples from inside

A fouled blower wheel — all airflow passes through it

Internal grime

An unpleasant smell is one of the most noticeable signs of dirt, but its absence does not mean the internal parts are clean.

What changes after a deep clean

❌ Odour and discomfort every time you turn it on

✅ Fresh air without unpleasant smells

❌ Hidden grime on the blower wheel and evaporator

✅ Clean internal parts instead of visible deposits and grime

When you should check your air conditioner

Smell when switching on or while running A damp, musty or other odd smell is often linked to dirt on internal parts.
Water drips from the indoor unit or marks appear Dirt in the tray or drain can be the cause. If the cause is technical, repair will be needed — we specialise in cleaning.
Dark or grey deposit is visible on the blower One of the easiest signs you can check yourself.
Airflow has become noticeably weaker A dirty blower or evaporator can restrict free airflow.
The AC is used intensively Especially with constant use, pets or a lot of dust indoors.
Internal parts have not been cleaned for a long time Regular filter washing does not replace cleaning the blower, evaporator, tray and drain.
The property is prepared for new guests It helps to check the indoor unit before a new stay or season.

Frequently asked questions

How often should an air conditioner be cleaned?

For most apartments and homes we recommend professional cleaning at least once a year. Frequency depends on use. The unit may get dirty faster with pets, smokers, young children, high humidity, heavy AC use, or if the property is near the sea, a busy road or construction sites. With intensive use, rentals (Airbnb, Booking) or commercial premises, cleaning twice a year may be needed.

How is DEEP different from BASIC?

BASIC is preventive cleaning of accessible parts of the unit. It suits regular maintenance of relatively clean systems. DEEP includes deeper cleaning inside: blower wheel (without removal), evaporator, drain pan, internal plastic parts and full antibacterial treatment. If the AC has not been serviced for a long time or there is odor, we usually recommend DEEP.

How is PREMIUM different from DEEP?

PREMIUM includes everything in DEEP plus removal and separate washing of the blower wheel (when technically possible). Most dirt, dust and biological buildup often sits on the blower. PREMIUM also focuses more on the drain system, mold prevention and includes a photo report. Blower removal is only included in the PREMIUM package.

Why does odor often return after regular cleaning or foam treatment?

Odour often comes not from the filters but deeper — on the blower, evaporator, tray or drain. If only accessible surfaces or filters are cleaned, the odour source can remain inside and return later. With a persistent smell, it is important not to mask it but to find and clean the dirty internal parts.

Should the AC be cleaned if there is no smell yet?

Yes. Odor usually appears only after contamination has built up inside the unit for a long time. No smell does not always mean the system is clean. Dust, dirt and other buildup can accumulate inside long before noticeable signs appear.

Is cleaning needed in rental apartments (Airbnb, Booking)?

Yes. Clean air and no unpleasant smells directly affect guest comfort and reviews. Regular service keeps the unit in good condition and helps avoid surprises between stays. We can work between guest check-ins when needed.

Several units—any discount?

Yes. For properties with several indoor units at one address we often offer special terms. If you have several units, state the number when you contact us and we will prepare an individual quote.

Why does water drip from the indoor unit?

One possible cause is dirt in the tray or drain system so condensate does not drain properly. In those cases, cleaning the tray and drain can solve it. But dripping can also have technical causes. BuenAire specialises in AC cleaning and does not do repairs. If on inspection dirt is not the cause, we will tell you.

How can I check myself if the blower is dirty?

Switch the AC off, carefully lift the lower air louvres and shine your phone torch inside. Behind the louvres is a long cylindrical blower wheel. If you see a dark or grey deposit, dust or dirt between the blades — send us a photo on WhatsApp. We will say whether a deep clean is needed.
